The Melo building to start with: useful layouts and flexible approval, at 2222 NE 2nd Avenue in Edgewater.
Inside scoop
Melo building: easier approval than most. Weaker credit can still be approved with a one-month security deposit (get in writing how and when it comes back). After your lease it goes month to month, usually about $300 more. Melo doesn't run rent specials.
Local tip
Pistachio, the café around the corner, is so good you may want to add it to your monthly rental budget.
Ask for
The corners (lines 08, 09, 28 and 29) are the 3-bedrooms, 3BR/2BA. North lines 25 and 29 or south lines 12 and 24 are the smarter asks.
Skip if
The two towers face each other, and the pool gets limited sun. Avoid the inward-facing units when privacy matters.
