Nido’s take
52 floors with two pools, a sun deck and a big gym. The MetroMover is close, so getting down to Brickell is easy. A stronger view pick than Downtown 1st from the right side and floor. People tend to stay a year or two.
Inside scoop
Melo building: easier approval than most. Weaker credit can still be approved with a one-month security deposit (get in writing how and when it comes back). After your lease it goes month to month, usually about $300 more. Melo doesn't run rent specials.
1-bedrooms start around 615 sq ft and 2-bedrooms go up to about 1,170 sq ft.
Ask for
Balconies are small overall; the larger ones are on W-L26 (northwest) and E-L25 (northeast). For west, ask above floor 11; for north, above floor 15.
Skip if
The building sits right across from the Federal Detention Center, and north-facing units through floor 15 look straight at it every day. At floor 11, west faces the garage rooftop. The pools don't get good sun.
